The German master also wins the first worldchampionship of soccergolf in Dirmstein Germany. Participants from over 15 nations took part in the first round of the championchip. Unfortunately, it didn't come to the duel expected with tension between Germany and Sweden in the final.
The places two and three also went to Germany. Thomas Walther became a vice-world's champion, Hans Peter Baudy got bronze.
The very traded Swedish Soccergolf team from Uppsala with Emelie Anderson, Christer Persson, Joakim Wiberg and Erik Lundin knew how not quite to convince. Lundin was the best swedish player and reached the eleventh place.
Sigrun Walther, Emelie Anderson and Marina Baudy could be found under the best ones in the women competition.
The next soccergolf championship takes place in Uppsala / Sweden in 2008.
